About Me

- Jonathan McClure
- My wife and I are missionaries to England. We will be planting local, New Testament, Bible-believing Baptist churches. We are sent out of Mamre Baptist Church in Kitts Hill, Ohio. We will be serving in Beeches Road Baptist Chapel upon arrival. This is a church plant near Birmingham, England. Please pray for God to be glorified and the hearts of the British to be opened to the Gospel!

Week 2
This week we were in a meeting with Bro. Tim Jayne on Sunday evening. We had a great time getting reaquainted with the people of Buffalo Valley Baptist Church. Jonathan and I gave our testimonies and shared our burden for the people of England. We had the privilege to meet some missionaries to Scotland after the service. The Lord has seen them both through battles with cancer during their time on deputation. The Kings have a great testimony for the Lord and are leaving soon for the field.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings we attended the tent meeting at Community MBC. The speaker for the week was Bro. David Frazie! What a blessing to hear him preach two weeks in a row. The Lord worked in the hearts of the people in a great way.
Wednesday evening we attended our sending church, Mamre Baptist Church. We presented our video and Jonathan preached. This was the first time many of the people of Mamre had seen our missionary video. It was a blessing to be in our home!
Please pray for the Lord's favor in contacting pastors and scheduling meetings for the upcoming months.
In Christ,
Lindsay

Deputation: Week 1
We are thrilled to finally be on full-time deputation! This week we have been in the Mission Conference at Landmark Baptist Church in Winchester, KY. We have been so blessed to meet so many wonderful people in the Lord's service.
Bro. David Frazie was the keynote speaker of the week. The Lord used him to speak to the hearts of the church members and the missionaries. Praise the Lord for a great week of meetings!
We stayed with some friends from Mamre Baptist Church, Harry and Roxie Fry, who have moved here and are serving the Lord in this church. It has been such a great blessing to spend time with Pastor Muncie and this church. They have such a heart for the Lord and for missions across the world. We are grateful for the new friendships we have made this week! Please continue to pray for our safety and the Lord's blessing on our lives.
In Christ,
Jonathan and Lindsay

On the Road!
We have now been on the road for 2 1/2 weeks and are so thankful for all that the Lord has been doing. We have been in many churches in Ohio and are now in Indiana, making our way to Illinois. We have had the opportunity to present our mission to England and make contact with many churches to visit in the fall of this year. Please pray that the Lord will continue to bless our group with safety and health as we travel!

Our first stop was at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio on May 9! Mother's Day and our one year anniversary!!
We stopped at the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson AFB on our way to a service in Dayton, Ohio.
We had a Wednesday evening service with Bro. Jerry Siler at Cornerstone Baptist Temple in Dayton.
Outside the Creation Museum in northern Kentucky.
We were able to be in two meetings with Fellowship Baptist Church in Lebanon, Ohio. On Monday morning, we went to the Fellowship Tract League and Broke up about 400,000 tracts to be sent to Czechoslovakia. It was amazing to see how the Lord is using their printing ministry to take the Gospel around the world!
Finished!!
We were in Reynoldsburg, Ohio in Revival Baptist Church on May 18. This church was planted by Jim Larger, who is a Crown College graduate.

Georgia
On Saturday April 24, we took our first trip as a travelling group! We went to Cleveland, Georgia to surprise Bethany Sparks' mom for her birthday. On the way, we stopped at a place called Fields of Woods, where the Ten Commandments are displayed on the hillside.
Finally, to the top!! There must have been 1,000 steps!!
We had a service at Gateway Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon, followed by food and fellowship. We sang, gave testimonies, and then Bethany's dad preached.
Bethany Sparks, Lindsay McClure, Sarah Corcoran, Rachel Panas, Audra Huffine, and Rebekah Platt (left to right).
Saturday evening, despite the torrential downpours, we went to Helen, GA and walked around all the cute shops. Helen is like a little Pigeon Forge in a German setting.
On Sunday we sang some more songs, gave testimonies, and Jonathan preached from Psalm 78 about remembering what the Lord has done for us. The Lord blessed this weekend in a great way. This was also our first opportunity to present our mission to England and show our video. We are grateful to God for our group and are looking forward to the Lord's blessings this summer.

Summer 2010 and Beyond
The Lord has given us the opportunity to travel with a ladies' ensemble from Crown College this summer. Lindsay will be playing the piano for the group and I will have the opportunity to preach. We will be in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Canada! We are thrilled at this opportunity to travel and represent Crown College. Please pray for our safety and that we will be a blessing to pastors and churches in the Mid-Atlantic region.
We are also preparing to serve the Lord as missionaries to the United Kingdom in England. We are sent out of Mamre Baptist Church of Kitts Hill, Ohio and working in conjunction with Crown College United Kingdom. Upon arrival in England, we will serve under Pastor James Zenker at Beeches Road Baptist Chapel. This church was started in 2006 and the Lord has truly blessed. We will be working to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, discipling new Christians, working with children and youth through Sunday Schools and state school Bible clubs, and helping in other ministries. We also believe that the Lord has called us to start local New Testament churches in the country of England. As we travel this summer, we will be presenting our work in many churches. Please pray that the Lord will provide for us to go in His timing.
Lindsay and I are so grateful for how the Lord has led us. We truly believe that our Lord is able to do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think."
