About Me

My wife and I are missionaries to England. We will be planting local, New Testament, Bible-believing Baptist churches. We are sent out of Mamre Baptist Church in Kitts Hill, Ohio. We will be serving in Beeches Road Baptist Chapel upon arrival. This is a church plant near Birmingham, England. Please pray for God to be glorified and the hearts of the British to be opened to the Gospel!

Dundee, Michigan

This weekend we are visiting Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee, Michigan.  We arrived early on Saturday and spent some time in the local stores.  Jonathan was thrilled to see so many beef jerky stores and the world's largest Cabela's store.  I enjoyed the Silver Bells Christmas Shop.

Sunday morning, we enjoyed their Sunday school classes Christmas presentations.  All the classes sang a song and recited verses.
The adult Sunday school class recited two verses and Pastor Brown led them in singing "His Name is Wonderful"

The third, fourth, and fifth grade girls

The pre-school children quoted a verse and sang a song, led by Mrs. Brown.
In the evening service, we presented our mission to England and Jonathan preached a message from John 1:35-51: "Behold the Lamb of God!"

Tomorrow morning we will be driving back home to Kitts Hill. We are hoping to arrive home before the next snow storm.  We have already seen a foot of snowfall this month at our home!! It is going to be a White Christmas!

Home again, home again...

We are back in southern Ohio for a few days and have been in a couple of local churches.  We were in Franklin Furnace Independent Baptist Church for a Wednesday evening service.  We enjoyed getting to know Pastor Hankins and meeting many of the church members.  It was a special blessing to hear their youth group sing several songs during the service.

On a Sunday evening we were in Mt.Hope Baptist Church and were able to present our work.  The Lord has been so good to us and has allowed us to have many great meetings.

We also had the blessing of being home during my parent's Sunday school Christmas party.  Every year the class comes over and they have a big meal and play games.

Next, we'll be off to Michigan!

Holidays in Missouri

We have been visiting Jonathan's family in Missouri for the past two weeks.  We did not have internet access there and have not been able to post for a while.
Rainy day in St. Louis

We arrived in Missouri on November 24, the day before Thanksgiving.  We spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking for 18 people, but it was fun to be all together again.
Maggie's hot apple pie!!

On Saturday we went to a tree farm and picked out our Christmas tree. We will be in Ohio for Christmas, so we wanted to celebrate Christmas early with Jonathan's family. The boys had fun running around and got a Christmas tree coloring book at the end.  After we decorated the tree, we exchanged Christmas gifts.
Jeremiah watched as the tree was getting all the loose needles shook out.

Joyce and Demetrius made us a Gingerbread house! YUM!

While in Missouri, we had a meeting at Jonathan's home church, Tabernacle Baptist in Lebanon. Jonathan preached in the Sunday evening service and we showed our DVD presentation.  Jonathan also gave a testimony in the Christian School chapel and had a question and answer time.
We had meetings in Landmark Baptist of Rolla, Maranatha Baptist in St. Robert, and Community Baptist in Lebanon.  Jonathan's previous pastor, Bro. Hal Hightower, who is now an evangelist, was preaching at Community.  It was a joy to meet Bro. and Mrs. Hightower.

On Monday, we took Jonathan's sister Maggie out to lunch between classes.  Monday evening we went to Springfield with Jonathan's parents.

We are now back in Ohio and have several meetings in the area around the Christmas season!  We praise the Lord for the safety we had traveling and for the time we had to spend with family!

Mission Conference: Xenia, Ohio

On November 22 and 23 we were in Bible Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio for their mission conference.  The theme was "Across the Street and Around the World."  The main speaker was Dr. Jerry Atkins.  We enjoyed the time we had to visit with Pastor and Mrs. McClellan again.  The other missionary family presenting in the meeting was Carey and Jessica Hendricks.  Jonathan and Jessica grew up together in Missouri and we all attended Crown College at the same time.  We were able to spend time with them and catch up.  Their twin girls Elle and Annie are growing up so fast. They turned one on December 5th.
